Socorro – In conjunction with the Albuquerque Tricentennial celebrations, Tech Library is featuring NM Authors for the months of February and March.


February 16: Pari Noskin Taichert

"Why Write New Mexico: A novelist's love affair with her home state." Pari writes mysteries set in New Mexico towns. The Clovis Incident was nominated for the Agatha Award. She is currently working on a book set in Socorro called The Socorro Blast.



March 7: Walter Jon Williams

"Science Fiction Culture" Walter is an internationally recognized author.



March 30th: Robert Julyan "Place Names of Socorro County" Robert wrote "The Place Names of New Mexico" and always gives an entertaining and enlightening talk on just how some of New Mexico's towns got their names.



All lectures begin at 7pm, are held in the Skeen Library, Tripp room 212 and light refreshments are served.
