Magdalena's Historic Western Motel - View from the Front
Tucked away on Main Street in the picturesque Village of Magdalena up in the western New Mexico high-country is The Western Bed and Breakfast Motel and RV Park. The Western offers a half-dozen cozy rooms each decorated in a different theme plus continental breakfasts (or a delicious fresh-cooked breakfast if that's your preference) and enough private space in back to park nearly two dozen RVs, motor homes and campers of various sizes and shapes as well.
The Western is the perfect hideaway for those visiting Magdalena and the sites and ghost towns of Socorro county's high-country. Located just minutes from Water Canyon and a short drive from the Very Large Array, the ghost town of Riley, and historic Socorro, The Western is just about the ideal getaway and the stars shine so bright in Magdalena you'll think you've died and gone to heaven! ;)
Each comfy guest room in The Western's century-old knotty-pine and adobe buildings is tastefully decorated in authentic western style with locally produced art, big comfortable beds and private baths. There's also a large hot tub available for guests and several local resturants, art galleries and at least one saloon are within easy walking distance of this unique and quaint -- yet fully modernized -- facility.
Attention Cowboys and Gamblers: All guns must be checked at The Western's front desk and they politely ask you to remove your boots and spurs in bed. Also, horses and cattle are NOT allowed in The Western's private rooms. Please lodge them at the stock yard or livery stable instead.
Despite these few rules, a stay at The Western is a fine lodging experience that'll help make your visit to historic Magdalena and nearby tourist attractions one cattle drive you'll never forget. :p
The Western's pampered guests can stay a night, a weekend, a full week or even longer. We highly recommend the place. It offers a truly restful experience right in the heart of old Magdalena. You'll find them on the web at www.thewesternmotel.com (http://www.thewesternmotel.com) or call them at 505-854-2417 for reservations, rates and other details.
Give our regards to owners James and Damaris Jents and tell them you heard about them in Steppin' Out, please!
