Windwalker Ranch near Columbus, New Mexico is the location of one of southwest New Mexico's newest Bed and Breakfast Inns and it's newest art gallery, "Art on the Western Edge", too. The ranch -- situated near Columbus -- is near the Mexican Border 60 miles south of Deming. The area is also the home of the Pancho Villa State Park and will always be famous as the place where Villa and his band of Mexican irregulars invaded the US, 90 years ago. You can learn more about that now-infamous raid (the first attack carried out by foreign nationals on the mainland in U.S. history) here (http://web.nmsu.edu/~publhist/colhist.htm), here (http://www.hsgng.org/pages/pancho.htm) and here (http://www.mexconnect.com/mex_/history/panchovilla1.html).

For the enjoyment of guests, visitors, and art fans in the area, Windwalker Ranch has also created a new art gallery named "Art on the Western Edge". The new gallery features the creative works of local and regional artists and artisans. If you're an art lover, you'll want to put Windwalker Ranch on your list of places to visit real soon. One great time to do that will be during during the gallery's official "Grand Opening" on December 9th. After chatting with owner, Jeri Heath, it sounds like the new Gallery will be a very fun place. Among other things, they are offering a series of Art Workshops monthly to teach interested artists, guests and local folks how to create new forms of beautiful art. Their ad above lists their seminars over the next two months.

The gallery is so new folks at the ranch are still touching up paint, hanging curtains and putting up new art on the walls. But everything will be in order long before they host their Grand Opening party on December 9th!

For more information about Art on the Western Edge, visit their attractive and well done website by clicking their ad at the top of this page or by pointing your browser to www.awe88029.com (http://www.awe88029.com/). You can also send them email at awe88029@yahoo.com (awe88029@yahoo.com) or call, 505-642-3641 for directions to the gallery.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Art on the Western Edge. Be sure to tell them you found them in Steppin' Out, please!
