Folks down in old Deming town are planning a gunfight ... or more accurately, a whole series of gunfights. These fights will staged in the old wild west tradition on the streets of downtown Deming during their annual Wild West Days weekend on November 11 and 12.
In addition to the live gunfight performances put on by the Desperados of San Elizario, the Wild West days weekend will feature a host of other activities too including a live music performance by Syd Masters and his Swing Band. There will also be an arts and crafts show and author book signings plus a chuckwagon dinner and dancing and more.
If all that sounds like good wholesome fun for the whole family, that's just what it's designed to be. So, on November 11, grab some rope and round up your family then toss the kiddos in the buckboard ... (or pickup if you prefer) and head on down to Deming where the deperados are apparently ready to shoot holes in one another for your amusement.
