View Full Version : Arlene Goldbard - Culture, Politics and Spirituality

webmaster
Special thanks to Ann at the Otero County Arts Council who recently sent us a link to the personal web journal (a.k.a. blog) of Arlene Goldbard. Arlene's profound thoughts on community art and spirituality struck home with this writer in a big way. After discovering Arlene's blog, I spent hours reading her thoughts and comments. And now, I've decided to add her blog to the front page of our site. You'll find her dedicated news block in the left column of our front page. It appears about 3/4 of the way down in that column.

As with all syndicated news feeds on this site, we don't actually reproduce Arlene's words here. Instead, we provide you with a series of topic headlines and links to her site where you can go to read her words and comments. I suspect you'll find Arlene's thoughts interesting, informative and insightful. I certainly have!

Whether she's writing about politics, the arts or spirituality -- and whether you agree with her opinions or not, Goldbard provides interesting insights and comments on the world and times we live in... unerringly hitting the nail on the head with her commentary. I suspect many of our readers will find her thoughts and opinions mirror their own and discover in the process that she leads them to new ways of thinking about the key role the arts can and do play in our local, regional, national and global society and culture.

For that reason, I personally encourage you to read the first of her posts that was forwarded to Steppin' Out. You'll find it here:

Enjoy!
