If you're traveling between Deming and Silver City New Mexico and it’s close to meal time when you hit Bayard, one great place to stop for an authentic Mexican meal is Little Nisha’s restaurant. It's located at 106 Hurley Avenue and if you can't find the place, just ask anyone in town. They're sure to know where Nisha's is. Stella and Frankie Legarda opened the new restaurant in September and were plenty busy from the start. It seems people knew Stella from other places she’d worked. "They knew me by the taste of the food, and by how much I give," says Stella.
From what we saw and heard from others, the place is already quite popular. It's a family venture with mom and dad and teen daughter Dora all working hard together and the business' namesake - 4 year old Tanisha - helping out and supervising her hard working staff.
The portions are quite generous so you can expect to take some food home to enjoy as a midnight snack.
