Las Cruces Rag Rug Festival features fiber fun, fine art
Las Cruces – The Women’s Cottage Industries Program of New Mexico Women's Foundation hosts its 3rd annual Rag Rug Festival in the Tortugas Room of the Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road on March 10 and 11.

Women artisans from throughout the state will display and sell a selection of the finest products that they make. Half of the exhibit will offer rag rugs, while the other half will feature fun and fine art, a variety of Native American and Hispanic crafts, 2005 NAMMY winner Yolanda Martinez, and Threads: a textile boutique offering fabrics from France and Spain at rock bottom prices.

New this year: Heritage Workshops that teach needlework skills, and Documentary Films on such subjects as “Micro-Credit: You’re Worth it,” and “Weaving The Future,” Also new this year, Heritage Activity Center featuring a snack bar, lounge area, and other informal activities.
