To Benefit Steel Chicks Drum Band

The second annual Magdalena Steel Chicks Music Fest will combine with the 3rd annual Invitational Summer Art Bash to provide a day of music, and a weekend of fine arts.
The 3rd Invitational Summer Art Bash, sponsored by the Creative Connection and Peppers Gifts and Gallery, is the new evolution of the former Spring Arts Show. Some 40 artists will exhibit their works at booths in the Peppers Gallery parking area, joining their contemporaries who are represented in the gallery. Organizers Cat Brysch, weaver, and Marky Bamert, of Peppers, expect a great turn out of artists and artisans for the event. The art show runs from Friday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Organizers hope to have two stages set up with music from 10 am to dusk.
A special treat will be three pan players from Akron Ohio, said Linda Mansell.
A small entrance fee will go toward scholarships for members of the Magdalena Steel Chicks. For more information, contact Mansell at 835-8485.
