Zoe de Negri opens new studio, gallery in Carrizozo,Gallery 408 to feature Richard Bryant photographs
Carrizozo, NM – Plan a trip to this crossroads town on Saturday, April 21 to help celebrate two art events.

Shamana Jewelry will host a grand opening at its newly renovated venue, 415 Twelfth Street, just down from Gallery 408.
Jeweler Zoe de Negri hand-crafts fine jewelry with precious metals and stones. Her jewelry is constantly changing, even after 30 years, with the appearance of newly mined stones and beads in new shapes and sizes along with the increasing customer interest in the spiritual properties of stones. Newly discovered or learned metal techniques all conspire to inspire Zoe’s work. Open weekends, by chance and by appointment. Come and visit “Shamana Jewelry” for a unique experience.

Then, walk down the street to the opening reception for Richard Bryant’s exhibit, Close to Home at Gallery 408, at 408 Twelfth St. Bryant, a world-class photographer whose images frequently appear in National Geographic magazine, will be on hand to greet visitors during the reception.
Other art activities on Twelfth Street include:
• Jewelry Making with Zoe De Negri. Class meets every Thursday beginning April 19 from 1-4 pm at The Studios on Twelfth Street. Cost is $35 per class.
• Basket Weaving, April 15, 9:30 – 4:30; make a basket from start to finish with Louise Groethe using natural materials and a few common household tools. Learn various weaving techniques. Beginners welcome. $35.00 includes all materials
