Lincoln County - Travel the landscape with the sounds, fragrances and color that inspire the art that you'll see traveling the route of the Lincoln County Art Loop Tour. Art loop, the premiere self-guided studio tour of south eastern New Mexico is in its 12th year. The tour features 26 Lincoln County artists whose private studios are open to the public July 6th-8th, from 10am to 5pm. This year featured art includes glass, pottery, painting, jewelry, weaving, designer knit clothing, basketry, art dolls, sculpture, wood-turning & china painting.Information on the tour or to receive a brochure call 505.378.8273 or 505.354.5039.
The tour is free and offers an intimate insight into the working artist' studio. You'll travel among beautiful mountain scenery to see some of the best artists in their own habitat -it's a wonderful combination.
The tour winds from historic White Oaks, on Hwy. 54, to Carrizozo, at the crossroads, up the foothils to Nogal and Alto's higher mountain vistas; along meadowlands to Capitan and east to the Bonito Valley and historic Lincoln, on to the Bonito River and Hondo Valley and up to Ruidoso Downs and into Ruidoso.
