Tome, NM – Tome Gallery is hosting Wordsmithing: The Art of Words - Second Edition as part of their holiday activities. The gallery carries the works of 13 local authors as well as CD’s of some local musicians. The gallery has books to please everyone in the family from the cook to the history buff, from the poetry lover to the sci-fi fan.
On Friday evening Dec.7 from 6-9 pm, Tome hosts a reception and book signing with authors on hand to sign copies of their books. On Saturday Dece. 8th, they will be reading excerpts from their works from 11 am to 5 pm. Participants include:
Greg Candela, local poet and musician, who will read on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock
Irene Sanchez who will be talking about her southwest style cookbook, “Comida Sabrosa” at 1 o’clock
Rosemary Armijo who will be reading from her book “La Hija de Juan Gallegos: An Apron of Many Colors”, a fascinating personal remembrance of growing up in NM at 2 o’clock
Walter Jon Williams, noted science fiction writer, who will be reading at 3 o’clock
Tony Sanchez, our newest member who will be reading at 4 o’clock from his Poetry of NM.
