AWE Celebrates First Year Anniversary

Columbus, NM – Art on the Western Edge celebrates their successful first year this month. Owner Jeri Sue Heath invited everyone to an open house on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 2-4 pm for a reception for Teresa Struhs-Nelson’s art show.

Teresa has shown in Old Mesilla at The Silver Lining Gallery where she developed a faithful clientele before moving to Yankee Creek Gallery in Silver City. Teresa’s favorite medium is oil pastel, although she uses oil on canvas and soft pastels as well. Her subjects are varied and include pet portraits. Teresa is a versatile, mostly self-taught, painter. While living in Washington State, she took weekly lessons from “Teen” Lee McGawn in Medileen Falls.

Paul Forster’s October and November one man show and open house was a huge success, and some of Paul’s work will also be on display.
