Albuquerque – The new African American Performing Arts Center, 310 San Pedro Blvd. NE, is featuring “African Americans in Orchestra An Evening With Five Master Musicians” in a benefit concert for the African American Performing Arts Center. Dance Because You Can
Albuquerque – For the ninth year, “Dance Because You Can,” a fundraiser to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, brings exceptional instructional and social dancing to Albuquerque, April 25-27. Dance workshops taught by top professionals, social dancing, an elegant dinner and a professional showcase are all part of this fun and educational effort aimed at building the coffers for MS research and support.
Started by Albuquerque dance professional Patti Miller in 2000 after her sister was diagnosed with MS, this annual event draws dancers not only from around New Mexico, but surrounding states as well and has earned a reputation for its outstanding organization and value. This year, the full slate includes 10 dance workshops, a raffle, photo booth, two lunches, a dinner show and dance and a kick-off social dance.
