This year’s tour is Aug. 9 and 10 from 10 am to 5 pm. In fact one notable and impressive thing about this tour is there isn't an artist in the group who doesn't produce remakably fine art that's totally different from what their neighbor down the road produces. Included in this small arts community are painters, photographers, wood workers, potters, sculptors, metal artists mixed media artists, fiber artists, ceramicists, jewelry designers and several more. In fact, if you've never taken the Alto tour before, you'll be amazed at the range of art and skills represented in the Alto area.

The tour route takes visitors through spectacular Ponderosa forests, then onto a mesa with awesome views of Sierra Blanca and the Capitan Mountains. Maps and brochures are available at the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce, Ruidoso Regional Council for the Arts, sponsors and other local businesses throughout Lincoln County. Plus the route is plainly marked with colorful signs.

The tour is a highlight of the late summer – it’s an afternoon of beauty, a chance to meet the artists, see their new work and get first chance at owning some one of a kind art.
The number of artists participating in this year’s Studio Tour has grown to 31 – that’s a lot of art in one weekend!
