It is a multicultural day camp that strives to provide a fun, educational environment in which kids can learn the messages of (and practice non-violence and peacemaking from) various world traditions. All activities encourage respect for racial and cultural diversity. In 2006 two nonprofits, Peace Village and Youth Enrichment Services, worked with Barbara Mader, owner of High Mesa Healing Center, to make the camp a success. In 2008, High Mesa is partnering with PeaceVillage.Org, with Boyd & Kelly of The 7 Rays Ranch Project and with The Ruidoso Equine Experience to bring quality experiences to the children who attend the camp.
