This free self-guided tour will lead you through the highways and byways of scenic Lincoln County in search of the creative studios of 26 amazing artists. During the tour you'll be able to enjoy the scenic diversity of Lincoln County plus you'll hob-nob with an impressive list of Southern New Mexico's most famous artists and experience a wide range of environments and workspaces in the process.

For almost a decade Art Loop was the only tour in the county -- until it finally grew so large it was impossible to visit all the Studios in a 3 day weekend. That's when Lincoln County's other studio tours began to appear. But like vintage wines and fine art, arts events tend to improve with age and maturity. That adage certainly holds true with Art Loop -- which many insist gets better every year.

<table border=0 align=right><tr><td><caption><font size=-1 face="Arial Narrow" color=#000000>This abstract is the work of Art Loop member Joan Malkerson who also owns Carrizozo's Gallery 408.</font></caption><img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/artloop_JoanMalkerson.jpg border=1 align=right vspace=5 hspace=5 alt="This abstract is the work of Art Loop member Joan Malkerson who also owns Carrizozo's Gallery 408."></td></tr></table>You will be able to purchase directly from the artists a diverse selection of Fine Art and Contemporary Crafts including ceramics, glass, fabric art, jewelry, sculpture, gourd art and painting. While many artists choose to be part of the studio tour year after year, there are always new entries who offer unique creations. All artists are extremely talented, versatile and interesting.

Look for the colorful Art Loop signs and banners at each studio. Complete information and maps can be found at the Art Loop website www.artloop.org (http://www.artloop.org/), or you may call Gallery 408 in Carrizozo for more information: 575.648.2598.
