Belen, NM– Fifty quilts or more will be on exhibit at the Seventh Annual Quilt Show at the Belen Harvey House Museum Aug. 2 through Aug. 30. Members of the New Mexico Quilters’ Association Community Service Program make the quilts for distribution to community agencies. Visitors will have the opportunity to select and win one of the quilts on exhibit.
Saturday programs begin at 1:00 p.m.
Aug. 2 Demonstration by Sweet Charity quilt group from Albuquerque.
Aug. 9 Art quilter Katy Widger from Edgewood will present a Trunk Show and talk about her road to becoming an award winning quilter.
Aug. 16 Valencia Valley Girls, a local quilt group will show projects completed during the past year.
Aug. 23 The 2008 Balloon Fiesta Quilt made by members of the New MexicoQuilters’ Association will be on exhibit and raffle tickets for the quilt drawing at the Balloon Fiesta will be on sale.
Aug. 30 Sweet Charity quilt group will return with another demonstration.
