Grants, NM – Full sized quilts and lilliputian art will be featured at Double 6 Gallery in November and December. And, large or small, there will be lots to see at the Cibola Arts Council’s gallery and museum, 1001 Santa Fe Ave this fall.
The huge Ceramics Show continues through October.
In November in what is becoming a tradition, the Mt. Taylor Guild will exhibit quilts at the gallery, exhibiting their handiwork from the year.
The group quilts lap robes for Veterans and quilts for children’s home, donating their time and talents. The group this year is especially pleased to welcome new member Dolly Boelter who will be showcasing her Carol Doak design quilt.
Sign up for the raffle for your chance to receive a full-sized quilt. In an accompanying exhibit, Cibola Arts members will display their tiny works of art during the Lilliputian Show. Also, new works by members in every size, theme and medium will be exhibited.
The gallery also houses a small museum of area history. Since purchasing the building just a couple years ago, the group has made major renovations and added a sculpture garden outside which displays works of artists from Silver City as well as local art activist Robert Gallegos.
