<table border=0 align=right><tr><td><caption><font size=-1 face="Arial Narrow" color=#000000>Artist Georgette Grey offers art classes and has dozens of beautiful paintings for sale.</font></caption><img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/3GeorgetteGrey.jpg border=1 align=right vspace=5 hspace=5 alt="Georgette offers classes and has dozens of paintings for sale."></td></tr></table>Georgette Evans Grey has been active in the local art scene wherever she has lived, from San Clemente, California to Salisbury, Massachusetts to Socorro, New Mexico. She has honed her ability with transparent watercolor by continual practice of the art of painting and by participating in workshops with locally and nationally known artists.

Working now almost exclusively in watercolor, her love of nature and her skill with watercolor combine to create works enhanced by observation and knowledge. Despite the seeming realism, her work reflects an inner emotional view that the artist refers to as interpretive realism, a style that offers more than the mirror of a photograph or the technical mastery of a draftsman.

A familiar face in the Socorro County arts scene, Georgette is offering classes in watercolor. The first class is Tuesday, March 3 from 1-3:30 pm at 803 Bursum Rd. Classes will continue for six weeks. Cost is $60 which for first time students includes materials.

"One of the finest colorists I know … her work is varied and speaks to people on many levels.,” said one collector. Her works have been accepted into many prestigious exhibits. You can see more of her work at www.vertuarts.com (http://www.vertuarts.com) or www.gegrey.com (http://www.gegrey.com)
