Carrizozo – Twelfth Street Carrizozo is busy being transformed for the upcoming filming of "The Book of Eli" starring Danzel Washington and Gary Olman. “The workers are as thick as ants out there and it is just too hazardous right now to have pedestrians on the Street,” says Alisa Kenyon, Gallery 408 manager.

At that time Alisa and crew will be installing the "Return of the Mother" show with 13 of the most fabulous women artist in New Mexico. The Opening Reception will be held Saturday, April 11th from 5-7pm. “We are VERY excited to be able to reopen the Gallery with this wonderful array of artists gathered in one space,” says Alisa.
Figure Drawing Sessions will resume April 9th (second Thursday) with new models and drawing package payment opportunities. Mark you calendar and for April 9th Figure Drawing.
March 28th Sharol Nau will offer "Art Card Exchange". April 18th is "Clay Mask" Sculpting with Pia. A second day is planned of the 25th for glazing our pieces. Cost is $40 with an additional $15 for materials. If you haven't met Pia or seen her work this is the prime opportunity to learn alot. Meet at the Gallery
May 15 thru 17 is "Asian Ink Painting" with Ming Franz. Ming is well known for her workshops and talents in Albuquerque and Statewide. Cost is $200 ($25 material fee) Time is 9:30 to 4:30 all three days.
