These folks know how to put on a great party and this year, they’re bringing Shemekia Copeland as the headliner.

Shemekia’s opened for the Rolling Stones, headlined at the Chicago Blues Festival and is pretty much on the way to being known as the Queen of the Blues while still in her 20s. She’ll be rounding out a full day of great blues sounds at the Riverside Park in Aztec, a verdant, open-air venue that is family friendly. The doors open a noon on Saturday, July 11 and music is continuous from 1-10 pm.

There will be plenty of unique vendors available for your “retail therapy”, not to mention plenty of Brews and delicious foods.

Tickets are limited! It would be best to buy your tickets in advance, organizers say. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. You can purchase them online at: www. AnimasRiverBlues.com or in Aztec at The Vanilla Moose and Main St. Music. In Farmington tickets are available at Andrea Kristina’s bookstore.
