Magdalena – Art lovers and shoppers will find unique and affordable gifts for the coming holiday season at the 8th annual Magdalena Arts Council’s Holiday Arts Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20, coinciding with the Festival of the Cranes.
Route 60 Trading Post and Gallery, located on Hwy. 60 here, will host this year’s show. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
The arts festival features both MAC members and guests artists from around New Mexico. MAC now has over 45 members. A variety of fine art and crafts will be on display including paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculpture, fiber art, photography, sterling silver jewelry, pottery, gourd painting, silk painting basketry, collage, decoupage, mixed media, wood carving, glass art and jewelry, weaving, note cards and prints.
In addition to the main venue, local galleries and open studio tours will be part of this Festival. These include Sara Creekmore Glass Studio, Welton/O’Neil, Mill Canyon Wool Processing, Scarabeo, Blue Canyon Gallery, Pepper’s Gallery, Mansell’s Café and Gallery and Quinones Glass Studio.
