I wanted to drop you a note to say, "Thanks!" My husband and I had been walking around our unused Schwinn exercise bike for months as we tried to figure out what to DO with it. We had advertised it locally a couple of times and had even offered it to a local exercise club, but had received not a single call about the darn thing. :rolleyes:
Finally, in desperation, we agreed to place an ad in your new Steppin' Out classifieds. We did that in the December / January issue and just two days after your new issue hit the streets, we had our first-ever call about the bike. A man from Albuquerque was traveling through and had stopped in San Antonio for lunch at the Owl. While waiting for his burger, he picked up the latest issue of Steppin Out and soon found our ad there. So, he called about it right away.
An hour after I spoke with him, the gentleman rang our bell and 15 minutes later the deal had been made. He and his wife were thrilled to get the bike which was in nearly perfect condition and we were just as happy to get rid of our "white elephant"! I even went so far as to mark the online version of our classified as "Sold" a short while ago.
I just wanted you to know how well your classifieds had worked for us. Thanks a bunch!
