MasterWorks of New Mexico has announced deadlines for its 8th annual Spring Arts Show. Deadline to submit slides for the juried show is January 28.
MasterWorks of New Mexico is actually four separately juried shows exhibited at Expo (New Mexico State Fairgrounds) April 8 – 28.
Co-sponsored by the Pastel Society of New Mexico, The New Mexico Watercolor Society, the Rio Grande Arts Association and Miniature Arts Bardean, the shows will include New Mexico’s finest pastels, watercolors, oils and acrylics and miniature art.
Each show is open to any artist residing in New Mexico. An artist may enter one or all shows. Jury notification will be mailed by Feb. 28 and juried works should be received by March 25.

This year, MasterWorks will be held in the Hispanic Arts Building at Expo with an opening ceremony and preview on Friday, April 7 from 5-8 pm. Special events will be scheduled throughout the month including workshops, artist demonstrations and special presentations.
Robert Daughters will serve as the 2006 judge for the larger works.
Cynthia Sanchez, Arturo Chavez and Nick Abdalla are the jurors.
Todd Tibbals will judge the miniatures with Sheridan Brown, Regina Held and Penny Simpson serving as the jury.
