Entry Deadline for May Show Approaching Fast
The Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta wants to remind fiber artists from throughout the Albuquerque area as well as other areas of the state that March 15, 2007 is the deadline for entry submission in the 5th Biennial Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta. Fiber Artists from throughout the state are invited and encouraged to participate in this event.

Entries are being sought in the following fiber categories
Quilting,
Weaving,
Knitting,
Crochet,
Beadwork,
Dollmaking,
Sewing,
Embroidery,
Surface design,
Lacemaking,
Mixed media, and
Youth divisions.
This popular bi-annual Fiber Arts Show will include 500+ judged and juried exhibits, educational exhibits, daily fashion shows and demonstrations, 60+ vendor booths of fashion fabrics, art-to-wear, hand-dyed yarns, beads, weavings, embellishments and quilting supplies.
The event is sponsored by the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council, Inc. and 15 NM fiber art guilds. It will be held on May 24, 25, 26 in the Creative Arts Building at the Expo New Mexico fairgrounds. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.- 7p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5p.m. $5 admission (12 and under free).
