Touched By Cancer Art Exhibit Begins April 14,
Community Evening Set for April 18 at Rio Bravo Fine Art
Truth or Consequences – Anyone who has been affected by cancer – and who hasn’t through friends or family if not in their own lives – is invited to attend the exhibit and special activities surrounding the American Center Society’s Relay for Life.
The exhibit, Touched by Cancer, will hang at the Rio Bravo Fine Art Gallery from April 14 to May 5. A potluck reception with many activities is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18 from 5:30-9 pm.
The evening will include a special Speakers Circle where participants can share their experiences, thoughts and feelings about their experiences with cancer. Organizer and evening emcee Patch Rose encourages you to bring a message to cancer or write one while you are there. The messages will be burned during a Burning Ceremony.
Information about cancer and resources for those dealing with cancer will be available during the evening.
Rio Bravo Fine Art Gallery is located at 110 Broadway and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 1-5 pm and Sunday from noon to 5. For more information call 894-0572.
