Maxwell Museum of Anthropology's Passport to People Family Program Celebrates Alaska!
Saturday, June 23, 2007 1-3:30 p.m.
Cool off at the Maxwell! The Passport to People family program will host an afternoon of Alaskan cultural events sure to fascinate and entertain all ages! Huskies and Dog Sleds, Alaskan Olympic Games, Basket making, Storytelling and Snow Cones are among the activities.
See the North by Southwest exhibit and learn about the people of the Bering Sea region. Test your mettle at the Akracheak, hanging ball game. Weave a willow basket with Bob Allalunis- open to ages 7 and up! Pet huskies and make your own model dog sled. Lots of fun for all!
Goody bags given to the first 50 children ages 3-12.
Activities are free and open to all.
