<img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/petroglyphhands.jpg align=right border=1 hspace=3>Saturday, July 7- Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary presentation. 10 am to 12 noon on Visitor Center patio. Free program. Docents from the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary in Ramah will be presenting an educational program about wolves. Wolf behavior, habitat, and physical adaptations will be discussed. This program will be presented with a live wolf.<br><br>Saturday & Sunday, July 14 & 15- Pottery Workshop by Michael Kanteena Part I & II $50 participant fee. 10am to 2pm in Visitor Center Conf. room.<br><br><img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/petro5.jpg align=left border=1 hspace=3>Participants must commit to both days. Form clay and paint pottery using ancient Mimbres designs in this two-day workshop. Workshop fee includes all materials and your finished piece. Registration required.<br><br>Limited space. Free admission. Observe Josephine as she forms natural clay into wedding vases, bowls, jars, and pots. Josephine delicately paints each of her pieces with traditional symbols—rain clouds, kivas, rainbows, feathers— and enhances them with the color turquoise, in honor of her Turquoise family clan affiliation.<br><br><img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/petro4.jpg align=left border=1 hspace=3>Saturday & Sunday, July 28 & 29- Blacksmith demonstration by Gary Williams. 10 am to 4 pm at the Visitor Center. Free admission. Gary will demonstrate the techniques used by 19th century blacksmiths while making nails, forks, spoons, and horseshoes.
