The Rio Rancho Art Association is a non-profit association of local artists working in mediums ranging from colored pencil and pastels, oil and acrylic paints, photography, to sculpture and fabric art. Established in February of 2004 and boasting in excess of 160 members, the Rio Rancho Art Association is developing a reputation as the premier art association in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. They are dedicated to the advancement and awareness of local professional and amateur artists as well as the visual arts in general. Their level of activity and the quality of their member's work is unsurpassed in the area. Many local businesses work closely with the RRAA exhibiting and selling their fine art.
Beginning August 29th and running through October 22nd the Rio Rancho Art Association is showcasing some of the finest work by members at the Kimo Art Gallery at 439 Central Avenue in Albuquerque. The show is a juried competition, is open to all media, and the theme is "The Color of my Pallette". There will be an artist's reception on Saturday, September 8th from 10AM to 12PM.
