Bach to the Future and Buddy Holly Tribute end successful summer of 2007

Alto, NM - Spencer Theater completes its summer series with a futuristic night and one for nostalgia.
Saturday, Aug. 18: The age of eclecticism may best be defined in the repertoire and sound of<img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/bach1.JPG align=right hspace=4> Bach to the Future. Combining jazz, funk and new world rhythms with 18th century scores, this innovative quartet performs with instruments that are new to the eyes and ears of many an audience yet identifiable and engaging. Bach to the Future's suite of arrangements are drawn from the inspired works of master classicists Johann Sabastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At the same time, the influences of Yo Yo Ma and Chick Corea are unmistakable.


Aug. 25 : John Mueller's Winter Dance Party, Buddy Holly Tribute (tickets available for 2 pm matinee) More than 29 songs made famous by <img src=http://sonewmex.com/images/BuddyJohn-2.JPG align=left hspace=4>Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens are presented in their original performance style and delivery when John Mueller and his "Winter Dance Party" recreate the final tour of the '50s icons.
