The NMSU-ALAMOGORDO Choirs and the Grace United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will combine to present Haydn’s The Creation on Saturday, October 20 at 7 PM, and Sunday, October 21 at 3 PM in the Sanctuary of the Grace United Methodist Church. This free concert is a gift to the community; however, donations to defray expenses will be accepted.
Dr. Jason Paulk, Director of Choral Activities at Easter New Mexico University, Portales, will be guest conductor for this renowned work.
Soprano soloist will be Freda Goodman, Instructor in Music and vocal performance at NMSU-Alamogordo, who has sung professionally in opera companies in Germany and Austria.
Kevin Simmons, outstanding Eastern New Mexico University vocalist, will perform the tenor selections, and Dr. Roberto Mancusi, ENMU instructor of voice and opera, will perform the baritone selections.
