Otero County Fair Seeks Chair for Fine Arts Dept

Here's an opportunity to get more involved in the local art scene and also with our Otero County Fair.
Your gifts of time and talent are needed now more than ever.
The Otero County Fair is in need of a Volunteer to serve as Chair for the Fine Arts Department. The duties of the Fine Arts Chair include receiving art exhibits, setting up art exhibits, facilitating art exhibit judging, monitoring art exhibits during the fair, and release of art exhibits after the fair. The chair also recruits and coordinates the help of volunteers and judges for the department.
A volunteer position description outlining the duties and responsibilities of the Fine Arts Chair is available from the Fair office.
This year's fair is scheduled for August 13-16, 2008.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Fair office at 434-0788.
If we do not have a firm commitment for a chairperson by March 31, 2008, the Fine Arts Department will be eliminated for this year.
