Alamogordo Plans Fundraiser for New Library <br>

Otero County and Alamogordo residents should MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW to attend the ART AUCTION GALA -- a Mardi Gras themed ART EXPLOSION on Saturday, March 1!

Now it's your chance to give back!!"> <br>This Art Auction Gala will benefit the fund to build a new library in Alamogordo --a library/cultural center that will serve Otero County.
The Gala is open to the public and is sponsored by the Alamogordo Public Library Foundation. With its Marti Gras theme, it's a chance to dress up, or come in costume, or "come as you are" in support of the Alamogordo Public Library.

Time: 4:00 p.m.-- Doors open for viewing art, refreshments, and music
5:00 p.m.-- Auction begins
Where: New Exhibit Building, Otero County Fairgrounds, near Gate # 2
Artwork donated by many well-known area artists and others as far away as Santa Fe and Michigan will be put up on the auction block beginning at 5:00 p.m. Works to be auctioned will included paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, photographs.
