It's a fun place to visit for a family with kids -- cause it's "kid friendly". Heck, it even features a few retired rockets, capsules and space vehicles your kids can dream under or climb on! Then there's that wonderful IMAX theater which features breathtaking IMAX films from throughout the world. The museum is perched on the mountain side overlooking Alamogordo and out on the western horizon is White Sands monument which is perched along Highway 70... just a few miles to the west.
