Watermelon Mountain Ranch and Bow Wow Blues are joining forces for a series of Dog Wash Saturdays this summer as a fund raiser for the ranch. Dog washes are by donation and take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 8th, July 15th, July 22nd, August 5th, August 19th, and September 9th. All these dates are Saturdays. Doggy baths will be given at Bow Wow Blues located at 3845 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, in Albuquerque.

In addition, Crissi Letherer of Bow Wow Blues is contributing 10% of the store sales on these dates to support the activities of the ranch.

Watermelon Mountain Ranch is a no-kill animal welfare facility promoting the positive benefits of the Animal-Human bond through numerous programs. Among these are animal foster care, animal adoptions, animal behavior counseling, teens at risk, animal outreach, humane education, and animal outreach for disabled teens.

How can you go wrong on this deal? Your dog gets a much-needed bath and you don't even get wet. You support a worthwhile community group that supports animals and pets of all ages -- even teenaged ones! PLUS you get discounts on pet food and supplies too. Who knows? With the money you save you may be able to buy enough extra food to feed your hungry teens. In the end your house and furniture might even smell better ... that is IF you can manage to convince your kids to take a bath as well! :p

We say, "Woof, WOOF. What a great deal! Hurray for Bow Wow Blues!"

For more details or to make an appointment, tell your dog to call Crissi at Bow Wow Blues (341-4484) or Pam at Watermelon Mountain Ranch (450-6275) or visit the Bow Wow Blues Website at: www.bowwowblues.com (http://www.bowwowblues.com/) or the Watermelon Mountain Ranch site at: www.members.petfinder.org/~NM71/ (http://www.members.petfinder.org/~NM71/)

Don't forget to bring along your dog's favorite rubber ducky! It may keep him from shaking and giving you an unexpected shower.
