MONTE CRISTO GRAND OPENING A GRAND SUCCESS

The MONTE CRISTO GIFT SHOP & GALLERY in Chloride, NM held it’s Grand Opening on July 1. From all accounts it was a Grand Success! There was a steady stream of friends and patrons from the time the doors opened right up until closing. People came from as far away as Belen and El Paso and as close as just down the street. They lingered under the shade trees enjoying refreshments, cowboy poetry, live music, and just visiting with each other. When Tom Diamond started signing his book there was a line of readers ready and waiting. Things were hopping inside the Gallery too. Patrons and artists chatted about the art and craft items available. Visitors to the Gallery seemed to have similar comments. Many were surprised and pleased by the diversity and quality of the works displayed. Some talked about the very reasonable prices and most went home with a treasure or two.

Even though the MONTE CRISTO is off the beaten path, everyone agreed it was worth the trip. If you were unable to attend the Grand Opening we hope you will make a point to stop by. If you have been to the Gallery we hope to see you again. The artists are bringing in new items almost daily and there are new artists in the process of joining the Monte Cristo Co-op.
