Ruidoso – "My Kind of People," an exhibit of the work of photographer Frederic Moras, will open with a reception on Friday, Oct. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ruidoso Village Hall, 313 Cree Meadows Drive.
The exhibit includes photos taken during Moras’s travels in China, Costa Rica, France and the U.S. . "People are endlessly fascinating," Moras said. "I try to capture the essence of this complex individual in one fleeting image. It is more challenging than photographing landscapes, but itís much more rewarding." Moras’s work has appeared in many publications, including New Mexico Magazine, Alaska Magazine, USA Today and American Profile. He is a member of the Photographic Society of Lincoln County.
The exhibit--part of the program Art in Public Places, sponsored by the Ruidoso Regional Council for the Arts--continues until Nov. 25. The Village Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 505.257.7272
