The Otero County Fair opens on Wednesday, Aug 16 and continues through Saturday, Aug 19 at the county fairgrounds.
There will also be a Fine Arts Exhibit and judging at the fair according to artist Peter Madrid, who is organizing it. Art work for the exhibit must be delivered, ready for hanging or display, on Monday, Aug 14 from Noon to 8 p.m. to the Wade Exhibit Building at the Fairgrounds.
Only original art work will be accepted. All fine art media accepted. No crafts. Guidelines in the art exhibit rule book will be followed.
Judging for the art exhibit will take place on Wednesday morning, Aug 16.

Youth, ages 12-14
Youth, ages 15-17
Adults (age 17and up)
Adult catagories are
Novice
Intermediate
Professional
Peter also needs helpers to supervise and welcome the public to the art exhibit.
