Inside the museum visitors can enter a flight simulator and try to land the Columbia space shuttle.

A short walk away is the Daisy Track Exhibit relocated from Holloman AFB, originally designed to study the human body’s tolerance to G-forces. The Daisy Track Exhibit will reopen on Saturday, Dec. 9, when a private showing of a full size mock-up of Spaceship One is scheduled. Tickets are currently on sale at the museum and IMAX. Both exhibits will be open to the public on Monday, Dec. 11.

“We feel the public will be eager to see the mock-up of SpaceShipOne. The original vehicle’s maiden voyage 65 miles above the earth’s surface in October, 2004 catapulted the world into commercial space travel,” said Museum Public Relations Director Cathy Harper.
