The month of December is highlighted by a watercolor show at the gallery at Eagle Ranch. The Cloudcroft Art Society currently is made up of 53 members from various towns in Southern New Mexico and West Texas, and 18 of those local members have collaborated to bring you a delightful show of watercolors.

From informal meetings to discuss workshops and demos, and with the encouragement of Sara and Joe, the group organized in 1996.
Participating members whose work will make up the show are: Vera Mangold, Rita Tucker, Don Pettey, Carolyn Sharp, Jan Addy, Cyndy Nesbit, Marta R. Lagunas, Edward Mason, Susan Parry, Jan Rasch, Elsa Hennig, Jane Sutherland, Susan Mitchell, Ella Olson, Betty Olson, Bill Bissell, Carol Powell, and Patsy Ward.
In the summer of 2000, the Society sponsored the first Cloudcroft Art Workshops. In 2002, six members of the Society created a separate, for-profit, business and kept the labor-intensive Cloudcroft Art Workshops going. Today, the workshops feature renowned instructors and attract students from all over the nation. Although the Cloudcroft Art Workshops is a separate entity from the Cloudcroft Art Society, it is an invaluable resource for the Society members.
The Society meets in the art room in the Cloudcroft Community Center, with business meetings the last Sunday of each month at 1:30 PM and program meetings the first Sunday of each month, same time. The public is welcome at all meetings.
The art show in the gallery at Eagle Ranch runs from the first day of December through December 31st. Gallery hours are 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 9 AM to 6 PM on Sunday. Easy to find, Eagle Ranch is located at 7288 Hwy 54/70, mid point between Alamogordo and Tularosa.
